Your Journey Your Tools ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our mobile application ("App") and Progressive Web Application (PWA).

1. Data Storage and Ownership

Local Mode (Default)

By default, we prioritize your privacy above all else. All personal data you enter into the application is stored exclusively on your own device using your device's secure storage.

Cloud Sync Overview (Optional)

If you choose to create an account and enable Cloud Sync (a Pro feature), your data will be encrypted and stored securely in the cloud to allow you to access it across multiple devices. You maintain ownership of your data at all times.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

If you choose to create an account, we collect your Email Address. This is used solely for:

• Authenticating your identity to log you in.
• Managing your Pro subscription status.
• Recovering your account if you lose access.

We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

App Content

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Journal entries and mood logs
• Safety plans and crisis contacts
• Goals and achievements
• Personal settings and preferences

If you are using Local Mode, we cannot access, view, or share this content. If you use Cloud Sync, this data is stored securely in our cloud database but remains private to you.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide a better experience, we use the following third-party services:

Google Authentication

We use Google Firebase Authentication to securely manage your account. If you sign in, your email address and authentication credentials are protected by Google's secure infrastructure.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data. This helps us understand which features are most valuable to our users and identify areas for improvement. This data does not include any personally identifiable information (PII) or the content of your entries.

Firebase Cloud Messaging

We use Google Firebase to deliver push notifications (such as reminders) to your device. This service may process limited technical data (like your device token) to route these messages, but it does not have access to your personal app data.

4. Data Security

Your data security is paramount. In Local Mode, security depends on your device's passcodes. In Cloud Mode, data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services:

• Local Mode: Your data is retained indefinitely on your device until you manually clear it or uninstall the app. We do not store or retain local user data on our servers.
• Cloud Mode: If you use an account, your data is retained in our secure cloud storage for as long as your account remains active.

Data Deletion Process

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time:

• Local Mode: You can permanently delete all your data by uninstalling the application from your device or clearing the app data in your device settings.
• Cloud Mode: You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app by navigating to the Account settings and selecting "Delete Account." Alternatively, you can submit a data deletion request by emailing us at nazzydee.dev@gmail.com. Upon receiving a request, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
